LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) will allow students and lecturers to log into Mahara via their learning management system (LMS). The first phase of the integration will focus on implementing single sign-on between an LMS and Mahara. This will also enable the creation of accounts immediately upon login.
Canvas will be the LMS for the proof-of-concept for this integration for the LTI open standard.
Catalyst is excited to be developing this functionality for the Mahara community, to enable more institutions to bring their portfolio work closer to their online course area. And in the future, allow for a better exchange of course and portfolio data, which so far has been restricted to Moodle.
