The second annual Mahara Hui, the New Zealand conference for Mahara users and developers, will take place in Auckland from 8 to 10 April 2015. Catalyst and the Centre for Learning And Teaching of AUT University are organising the event together.
The first day will be a workshop and tutorial day held at the Catalyst Auckland office, where Mahara users can learn from each other in hands-on sessions, discuss features and their future, and start contributing to Mahara.
The following two days will be held at AUT University, where participants will gather to share how they use Mahara and ePortfolios for learning, teaching, professional development, assessment, constructive feedback, new ways for learning and much more.
The call for proposals is open until 6 February 2015, and the organising team welcomes proposals for the workshop and tutorial day as well as for presentations and posters from students, teachers, learning professionals, organisational support staff, developers and members of other communities whose software offers integration points for Mahara.
The first Mahara Hui in March 2014 was well attended, with 100 participants from all over New Zealand, Australia and further afield. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with people saying the Hui was a great opportunity to share their practices and learn from others.
