Catalyst IT is part of a global team of skilled open source technologists, with our HQ situated in Wellington. We specialise in developing, designing and supporting enterprise grade systems using open source technologies. One of our largest offerings is the specialisation in design, development and hosting of eLearning platforms. Catalyst is one of Moodle's longest standing partners and co-founder of Totara LMS.
We are expanding our eLearning consulting team and looking for an eLearning Advisor to offer our clients more support in relation to the administration of their sites.
This is a full time role based in our Wellington office. You will be responsible for providing our clients with support in their Moodle or Totara LMS environments, to enable them to achieve better results for their staff and learners. The role involves coordinating their wishes and requests and turning them into reality.
A key aspect will be supporting and developing effective ongoing relationships between a group of clients and Catalyst to ensure the clients receive excellent service. The role also involves assisting with business development tasks and creating opportunities for long term growth.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are able to elicit and translate requirements from clients with the ability to both listen carefully and ask the right questions.
You should have great service customer skills, have good attention to detail and follow through on your tasks consistently.
Any of the following would look great on your CV and be a definite advantage:
- Previous exposure to Totara or Moodle LMS, support and/or administration experience of these products.
- An understanding of and appreciation for FOSS, as well as some knowledge of software development in terms of process, tools and technology.
- Teaching or training experience.
- Basic CSS and/or HTML abilities.
